I st5arted carving on asmall scale about 1995 and started on a much larger scale a few years later. I am still learning but I do seem to be getting a little better at it.
Most of my carving is more of a method of relaxing and to be doing something to fill the time.

relief is my favorite form of carving though I have been known to some in the round. I have not attempteted chip carving, yet

I do like to carve horses, bears, and relief carvings of landscapes and flowers

unfortunately, even though I live in the Austin, Texas area there is not a club close enogh for me to attend. Unfortunately I am somewhat restricted to the driving I do.

I enjoy reading and pets and drinking beer
