what an accomplishment!  I complain to myself if a project takes 100 hrs to carve!  Though I have patience.. 100 hrs of carving I'm afraid would push me over the top.. it would be in my.. I'll finish it someday stack!  I hope as I view more of your photos I'll see the finished project.

Thanks for that, This has proved to be the biggest and hardest project I have ever undertaken. Not from difficulty but focus standpoint. This is such a large and long running project that I continually get sidetracked. Oftenthe titaken to carve or sand goes on for days on end and I just have to get away for awhile. Now the final detail clean up, and over 100 hours of sanding are left prior to painting. The head has been primed, sanded, primed and sanded 3 times. The body and legs will be the same. I have steel shoes, a brass pole and chrome bit for him also.
